14 Things That Made Me Happy in 2014

It was a big year in which a lot of bad things happened - including my terrible neglect of this blog but also the rampant racism and sexism and people getting shot and stuff. It wasn’t all bad though, so I figured instead of focusing on the negative, I’d give you 14 things that made me smile in 2014.

Teen Wolf 4x01: Glow-Stick-Nun-Chuks

Teen Wolf came back this week with an hour of exposition and recapping that doesn’t make much sense and yet somehow manages to be incredibly entertaining. Sure “Mexico” looks like it’s made out of cardboard, they keep conveniently forgetting that wolf’s bane is poisonous for people too, not just werewolves, and they seemed to think they were shooting a make-up commercial rather than a television show at one point. But who cares because the pack came together to rescue Derek and nothing else matters.

Talking Teen Wolf: The Frustrating Life of a Teen Wolf Fan

At the moment my Tumblr inbox is full of people asking the same thing: “yo Undie, how come you can stay positive about Teen Wolf after all the shit?” And well I’m not really sure how to answer that. I mean at some stage during almost every Teen Wolf episode my head falls into my hands as I question why I am invested in this stupid show. But at the same time, I actually kind of love it.

It happened, and I still haven’t really accepted it – although I swear to goodness MTV if this is all an elaborate trick I will hurt you, I don’t know how I am going to hurt a faceless corporation but I will figure it out and it will suck for you. Anyway, as you can tell I’m a little upset by what happened to Allison Argent, and I wanted to vent share my feelings with you. 

Recapturing Teen Wolf: Never Trust a Fox

Previously on Teen Wolf… Scott has the ability to take people’s pain away. Peter has Talia’s claws, after Derek used them to ask her a question. And Isaac can do anything now that Allison has kissed him. Also skinny, defenseless Stiles is the nogitsune, and it attacked the hospital.

Recapturing Teen Wolf: Hurts So Bad

Previously on Teen Wolf… When a kitsune rubs its tails together it can create fire of lightening. Just like Kira did with Barrow. It’s called firefox foxfire. Also Lydia’s hearing things and the Oni were looking for a dark spirit. The dark spirit is Stiles.

Previously on Teen Wolf… Kira won the selfie Olympics because she has a foxy magic shield. Stiles is losing time and possibly leaving messages for mass murderers. And the masked firefly demons came out of the shadows and they might be after Chris.

Previously on Teen Wolf… The chemistry closet was supposed to be locked. Someone wrote atomic numbers on the bored and Barrow took Kira’s picture so she took the towns electricity. Also masked demons attacked Isaac.

Previously on Teen Wolf… Kira likes Scott and her dad is super embarrassing. Derek found the magic cylinder he was looking for and Lydia is something.

Talking Teen Wolf: Crystal Reed is Amazing, Everything Else is Not Important

I’m not sure what to say folks, we’re two episodes down and I really don’t have anything to complain about. I know, I know. I’m as shocked as you are. Okay, there is something that I have to complain about but it has more to do with someone putting a gag on Jeff Davis than anything that has aired so far. But that’s becoming par for the course these days(we’ll just ignore him). Overall, I’m still generally impressed and excited, so let’s talk about Teen Wolf shall we?

Recapturning Teen Wolf: More Good Than Bad

Previously on Teen Wolf… Scott, Stiles and Allison are losing their minds. A family died but Malia Tate’s body was never found because surprise, she’s a werecoyote. And for something new and different, Derek’s getting tortured; it’s all Peter’s fault. 

Side Note: I’m aware this episode was actually called “More Bad Than Good” but I changed it because it was a good episode. Get it? Stop being so pedantic Internet. 

Talking Teen Wolf: In Which It Was Surprisingly Good

Huge sigh of relief everyone because the first episode was actually kind of good. I’m as shocked as you are. JK, I was hoping it would be good although it is much more fun to recap when it sucks on account of I’m not actually witty, I’m just kind of a bitch. Anyway, everyone’s losing their mind, myself included but especially anyone who let’s Jeff speak because it’s more trouble than it’s worth anyway. Oh and I am instigating a new rule: we ignore everything MTV Remote Control posts because no matter how hard they try they will never be cool. Right well, let’s talk about Teen Wolf then shall we.

Recapturing Teen Wolf: Consequences and Coyotes

Previously on Teen Wolf… Scott, Stiles and Allison sacrificed themselves to the magic fairy tree Nemeton, making Beacon Hills an actual beacon for the supernatural and giving them a heart of darkness. Also Scott is a true Alpha and let’s just appreciate that that is all the information they gave us because literally everything else that happened in 3A is insignificant. At least we all agree we should forget the whole thing ever happened.

Last time I spoke to you it was 2013 and now it’s 2014 so yay congratulations on making it around the sun one more time. It was touch and go for a minute there but we made it and I’m pretty proud us. I think we deserve a reward don’t you? How about new Teen Wolf episodes? Well that’s what you’re getting whether you want it or not to be grateful dammit. I realized I have a tendency to exaggerate my emotional responses to Teen Wolf related things but seriously, I’m pretty sure my heart stopped. Now that I am somewhat functioning again, I am ready to talk about Teen Wolf, so let’s do that.

Hi guys, it’s been a while but as promotions are back in full swing I thought it was time to start talking about Teen Wolf again. Now I know 3A was a little lackluster but when I love something I tend to latch on and never let go, so I’m still uber excited about 3B! Plus one of the main issues with 3A was that there was a disconnect between the main characters and the villains - 3B seems to be all about the darkness, which we know is directly connected to the big three (Scott, Stiles and Allison).
