Shipping News: New Year, same ships.

First Shipping News of 2013 and there is A LOT to cover because I have been super slack over the holiday period (I had a chest infection and my best friend got married… it’s not my fault). Anyway I’m back now and I have shipping fun for everyone. This week there’s magical lesbians, more Teen Wolf drama, Catching Fire pics, Merthur’s tragic ending, another Supernatural baby and some spoilery tweets from Ryan Murphy.

10 Ships that ruled 2012

These are not my favorite ships (although some of my favs did make the list), these are the ships that I think have had the most impact this year. These ships either have super active fandoms, win all the polls, are the most talked or simply have the most potential. That said, I’m not an impartial observer and I don’t pretend to be – this list comes from my own observations and it’s the best that I can come up with when I have a killer hangover.

Ahoy there shippers (yes the pirate puns are back) hope you’ve been fairing well over the past week and that you have a lot of time on your hands because I have so much to talk about. There is a magical lesbians update (it’s a good one) and some movie spoilers (including Catching Fire). Then of course there is Teen Wolf and the fact that Jeff Davis is ruining my life (I wrote him a letter, we’re working it out).

My Top Ten Slash Ships

You might remember that in the last Shipping News, I talked about the fact that AfterElton is currently holding the Ultimate Slash Madness Tournament - in which 32 of our favourite slash couples are battling it out for the title of Ultimate Slash Champion. Now it’s pretty easy to guess that I am a tad excited about this poll, I mean I love me some slash and I can never say no to good poll but I have discovered recently that I might be in minority in this (at least outside fandom circles). So in order to drum up some excitement from my family and friends I have compiled a list of my top 10 slash ships (not all of them are in the poll but I still love them so they are here).
