Top Ten Warrior Women on TV

Some of you are probably already upset by my use of the term ‘warrior women’ but I just really love alliteration. This list could probably more accurately be called top ten female soldiers, but warrior women is so much more fun don’t you think? Anyway this list is about women who are also soldiers, and heroes. Known for their physical abilities and often associated with their incredibly cool weapons these fantastic women are just like their male counterparts only female. It doesn’t matter what else you say about them, in the event of any combat situation, these are the girls you want on your side.

But I have managed to find the time to scrape together some shipping news you lonely reader. Sorry guys – everything is getting out of control at the moment so I have had very little time to follow the world of shipping this week. Shipping News: New Year, same ships.

First Shipping News of 2013 and there is A LOT to cover because I have been super slack over the holiday period (I had a chest infection and my best friend got married… it’s not my fault). Anyway I’m back now and I have shipping fun for everyone. This week there’s magical lesbians, more Teen Wolf drama, Catching Fire pics, Merthur’s tragic ending, another Supernatural baby and some spoilery tweets from Ryan Murphy.

10 Ships that ruled 2012

These are not my favorite ships (although some of my favs did make the list), these are the ships that I think have had the most impact this year. These ships either have super active fandoms, win all the polls, are the most talked or simply have the most potential. That said, I’m not an impartial observer and I don’t pretend to be – this list comes from my own observations and it’s the best that I can come up with when I have a killer hangover.

Shipping News: Once Upon a Femslash Dream

It’s that time again lovely readers, where we turn from the path of sanity and delve into the depths of all things shipping… and if you think I sound a tad over-dramatic you’re obviously not a shipper. This week more magical lesbians on Once Upon a Time, Battleships to their stations at Hypable and Teen Wolf does NYCC. Also TV Guide tells you which couples should have sex, Elena sticks by her choice (The Vampire Diaries) and the Faberry/Sterek battle continues.

Shipping News: Mostly break ups, also magical lesbians (sort of).

Downton Abbey, Doctor Who and Glee are all about breaking up. Once Upon a Time makes me ship all the femslash. AfterElton let’s me and 4 other so-called slash experts loose and Sterek fans are still fighting hard (and even winning sometimes).

My Top Ten femSlash Ships

If you are new to fandom (or this website in particular), then you might not know that AfterEllen and AfterElton are currently holding tournaments in order to determine the best femslash and slash ship in the whole of the Internets. This excites me to no end because it encompasses my two favourite things - polls and slash. I love a good argument more than anything, and the fact that we’re arguing about slash just makes it that much better.

So anyway, to show my enthusiasm and perhaps even convert some of you to the wonderful world of shipping slash I decided to compile a list (everyone loves a top 10 list). I have already posted my top ten male/male slash ships but that’s just the warm up for this one... It’s the ladies turn, that’s right I am about to tell you my all time favourite female/female femslash ships.
