Let's talk about Glee, baby: Goodbye Finn, Goodbye Glee

Those of you that have been with me since I started blogging a couple of years ago will know that I was once a full on Gleek. I loved Glee - well when I say I loved Glee I mean I liked Season 1, fell in love with the characters and then had my heartbroken repeatedly as it went down the toilet. It was never really my primary fandom but there was a time when Glee was a big part of my existence. I might have stopped watching, but I don't think you ever really leave a fandom (it's for life), so I put my prejudices aside and watched this weeks episode because like all the other Glee fans out there I needed to say goodbye.

10 Ships that ruled 2012

These are not my favorite ships (although some of my favs did make the list), these are the ships that I think have had the most impact this year. These ships either have super active fandoms, win all the polls, are the most talked or simply have the most potential. That said, I’m not an impartial observer and I don’t pretend to be – this list comes from my own observations and it’s the best that I can come up with when I have a killer hangover.

You know how sometimes I can’t help but like Glee even though it kind of sucks, well that doesn’t happen when the entire episode is about Blaine and Finn whining about how much their life sucks because they were crappy boyfriends. It’s a week late because all of my craps were busy hanging out with Kurt and Rachel in New York (I bet Quinn was visiting that week).

Let's talk about Glee, baby: The Break Up

It’s break-up week and ouch, that hurt. Okay so not all of it hurt but it wasn’t exactly a walk in the park either. I’m pretty sure that most of the break-ups we witnessed (although I’m not entirely sure who actually broke up) are not going to be permanent but it’s still not fun to watch. Although I guess it was getting a bit stale with all the happy couples anyway, long distance relationships suck and at least Glee is acknowledging that.

Shipping News: Mostly break ups, also magical lesbians (sort of).

Downton Abbey, Doctor Who and Glee are all about breaking up. Once Upon a Time makes me ship all the femslash. AfterElton let’s me and 4 other so-called slash experts loose and Sterek fans are still fighting hard (and even winning sometimes).

Let’s talk about Glee, baby: Sex in the City and Lima too

Oh no, it happened, I actually kind of liked an episode of Glee. It’s a sliding scale though so don’t get you’re hopes up too high. There was more of my beloved Brit Brit and captain Sam and Blaine wasn’t nearly as annoying as he usually is. Lot’s of Kurt being adorable with guest star Sarah Jessica Parker and Rachel got me hot under the collar… it’s still Glee but it’s got less sting.

Shipping News: Brotherly love, Rachel get’s a new bitchy blonde and another shipping poll

This week – Supernatural gave us a brotherly hug, Glee is distancing its big couples and bringing in new love triangles. FemSlash and Slash madness are coming to a close, Sterek gets humorous, another shipping poll and much much more.
