Shipping News: It's a slow week but polls

Not really sure what to write about – most of the shows I love are on hiatus (Glee as well) and I already talked about the Great Jeff Davis Askathon that happened last week. But as I am determined to do one of these every week I better find something to talk about… fast. So let’s talk Oscars, Supernatural Season 9, a Vampire Diaries farewell, Troy/Abed and moar Internet polls.

Wasn’t it nice to have Jeff Davis back in the world of social media? I didn’t realize how much I missed the snarky bastard until he came back – if only for a moment. For those of you that are unaware, Jeff Davis (is a gift) took over the Official Teen Wolf Tumblr earlier today to answer questions from fans. While he didn’t really tell us much that we didn’t already know there were definitely a few things worth taking note of.

Right well I am going to give you a complete recap of what was said for those of you that asked me (why you can’t just read it yourself I don’t know, whatever) but before that I want to draw attention to a couple of things that excited me.

This topic of conversation comes to us from the Supernatural fandom (but it is by no means exclusive to it). For those of you that don’t know in last week’s episode Dean had a gay thing. I would love to spend the next 4 paragraphs discussing the shippie implications of this moment but unfortunately it stirred up another round of the age-old slash fandom argument about sexual orientation and shipping so we’re going to talk about that instead.

Top Ten Grand Romantic Gestures (Movies)

It’s the time of year when everything turns shades of pink, Hallmark accountants rub their hands together and florists are run off their feet.  That’s right it’s all about the couples in February because Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This totally commercial and ridiculously sentimental holiday is, if nothing else, an excellent excuse for a top ten list. Because while I shy away from anything mushy and romantic in my day to day life I do love it in fiction. My topic for today is “grand romantic gestures”. You know those moments in movies when the hero or heroine must prove their love by performing embarrassing and possibly illegal acts.

Previously on Teen Wolf: Scott wants a normal life and Allison he also wants Allison whose father still wants to kill him. Stiles thinks this is unrealistic. Meanwhile Derek is NOT a killer but he is still a creeper also the bite is a gift.
